Peace of Mind
ISO 14001 Certified from California to New Mexico, then Illinois, and reaching Maryland! Why Santa Monica Seafood Is the Leader in Certifications
Compliance Fundamentals
We maintain current Marine Stewardship Council Chain-of-Custody certification on a wide variety of species.
GAA/BAP Certified – BAP certification is administered by the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocacy, education, and leadership in responsible aquaculture. GAA continually invests in advocacy initiatives – including addressing the 95% of aquaculture facilities worldwide that are not yet third-party certified.
Environmental Accountability
ISO 14001 recognizes that standards throughout our operation help continually reduce our environmental impact. Santa Monica Seafood has set a goal of a 5% reduction in our GHG emissions starting from our baseline level of 2016 to 2026.
