PRESS RELEASE: Santa Monica Seafood New Logo as part of Redesigned Brand Identity

Rancho Dominguez, CA – November 15, 2019 – Santa Monica Seafood, a leading distributor of Seafood, announced today the launch of its new corporate brand identity – phase one, a new logo. The planned changes come as the company is evolving its offerings and expanding its nationwide presence.

Now celebrating its 80th anniversary, Santa Monica Seafood has been distributing seafood since 1939 and has a rich heritage in the southwestern United States in California, Arizona and Nevada as well as more recently in New Mexico and Illinois.  “Santa Monica Seafood will not rest on its laurels” said Michael Cigliano, Board Chairman and Executive VP of Santa Monica Seafood. “Our new brand identity will better communicate to our customers and the seafood industry as a whole that while we honor our history and tradition, we are growing and changing to fit the current demands of the markets we serve, as well as the high standards of our customers.”

Designed to work seamlessly whether in digital or printed form, the new logo reflects the familiar seafood iconography of the former logo while infusing it with contemporary colors and a visually impactful font.  The imagery and layout were crafted to represent the four cornerstones on which the organization was built:  Quality, Integrity, Reliability and Service.  These principles are underscored by what makes Santa Monica Seafood stand out, A Passion for Seafood.

The new logo is only the first step in the rebranding process.  There will be innovative packaging, new messaging and a reimagined website that provide an enhanced user experience.  All of the changes are designed to communicate company culture and the many initiatives in the areas of food safety, sustainability and new technology that Santa Monica Seafood is engaged in to remain an industry leader.
